I am greatly honoured and great full for
the opportunity given to me in addressing a speech on
“SAVE
OUR CULTURE”
Culture
shapes our lives and affects every action we take. The Left knows this simple
fact; we seem not to know it, and as a result we are content to leave the Left
in control of culture. By "culture," I mean the realm of meaning and
value--how we live and how we want to live. Culture is the mental component of
life, and its capacity to influence the material, while not total, is enormous.
This modern usage of "culture" includes education and entertainment,
the high and the low, the serious and the popular, the private and the public.
It is a usage far removed from the pure nineteenth-century conception of
culture as aspiration and uplift, which I cherish, but culture, however
defined, is still capable of being better or worse aesthetically, decent or
sordid morally.
But sometimes also arises a sense of deep concern and
sadness in ourselves, when we look at the culture of Indonesia. Culture of
courtesy, hospitality, and mutual aid have started to fade and not in
themselves the people of Indonesia. And we began to leave their own culture who
have contributed enormously in the establishment of the Indonesian nation.
Culture is the heart of hearts of a nation, so if our culture is lost it is
lost anyway in the nation's life own.
It is to many of us who forget about
culture of this nation, and began to be affected by the culture - negative
culture from abroad. That is what causes the feeling sorry for ourselves.
Indonesia as a nation we should be able to keep our own culture.
And
also newspaper claimed
news that has circulated in
various electronic and print
media. Namely claimed
culture by Malaysia. Among Reog
Ponorogo, Angklung, Tari Pendet, Batik, Song Rasa
Sayange, and many more of our
culture in claim
by Malaysia. But what
do people in
Indonesia? They began holding protests everywhere,
and began to broadcast
that the culture of Indonesia has been in
Malaysia claims. Where
as before, when our culture is
not in our
claim we over calm, and ignored it, but
when that culture has taken us getting angry
and upset. Properties
like that should be dumped far from the nation
of Indonesia.
The
influence of media also has important implications for our culture. The
media has an important role in maintaining and
preserving the culture of Indonesia. In many ways, for example by promoting our culture
such as batik, angklung,
Tari pendet, and song Rasa sayange and
other cultures that
many people still
do not know. In addition to promoting the culture
of the country Indonesia, which was also the media plays an important role for information claimed culture by neighboring
countries "MALAYSIA".
How
to protect
our
culture?
Is it enough just to preserve the State of our culture?. The
answer is NO. Because the society is to have an important role in maintaining
the national culture of Indonesia. Without the protection of our cultural
community will be many more in claime by other countries, not just Malaysia, in
a way that we must increase our sense of nationalism, we must also consider the
use of technology in today's era.
The
conclusion is that we as a successor of the nation must maintain the cultural
legacies of our country should not be stolen by
other countries and
Technology is also an important result in our culture because of the
influence of using the technology
properly, will NOT be there anymore clime's
culture by in this
beloved country "INDONESIA
".
